CyberAlert nonprofit grantsCyberAlert LLC has named 19 non-profit organizations as recipients of its annual PR Grants Program.

The non-profits will receive one free year of CyberAlert 5.0 online news monitoring service, which monitors 55,000+ online news sources in 250+ languages from 191 countries. In addition to online news monitoring, grant recipients can also opt to receive either social media monitoring or U.S. TV news monitoring free for one year.

The selected non-profit organizations provide a wide range of services and are located around the world.

Most grant recipients this year focus on serving children, abused women, or improving economic education.

• Amara Legal Center of Washington, D.C. provides direct legal services to domestic survivors of sex trafficking and to sex workers.

• California Council on Economic Education, Los Angeles, CA, trains teachers of California’s K-12 students on personal finance and economics education.

• JumpStart of Boston, MA trains college students and community volunteers to work with preschool aged children in low-income neighborhoods.

•KidsPeace of Schnecksville, PA provides mental health services to children and adolescents.

• Childreach International, based in London, UK, works to protect the rights of children in Africa and Asia.

• Women for Women International (WfWI), Washington, D.C., helps marginalized women in countries affected by war and conflict.

• Women’s Refugee Commission of New York, NY, improves the lives and protects the rights of women, children and youth displaced by conflict and crisis.

• Youth Finance International of Amsterdam, Netherlands provides economic education to children in 100 countries around the world.

The total retail value of this year’s grants program exceeds $50,000. Since beginning the PR Grants program in 2004 as its corporate social responsibility and philanthropy program, CyberAlert has awarded nearly 200 media monitoring grants to non-profit organizations, with a retail value of more than half a million dollars.
